For those players that might not remeber how to play effiecntly these new campaigns must be very hard.Īgain thank you for your answer and once again I think the new campaign is great. But one must also think on all the players which have returned to age of empires 2 HD and have not played since the original game came out 15 years ago. And this difficulty might be a good surprise for theses kind of players. If you have played some multiplayer and are experienced to boom while you build troops you can still manage. Yellow does very early start spawning heavy (or even imperial) camels and other horses against your wood and you dont have that much time to build up. Each feels quite unique in different scenarios or matchups and maps. Although a lot of civs have their niches, which is what I love about aoe3. I also found campaign number two on portuguese to be quite challenging. B tier: Sioux, Germany, India, aztecs, Dutch, Portugal (maybe) C tier: China, Spain. especially with gates with towers behind when you have no siege. Also the units that Kiwa is spawning never ends and this makes it even harder. I you could found one ram or two elsewhere it would be easier. For example I lost my cannon early and then it is practically game over. What I question is that it is quite unforgiven. I think the idea of choosing a fixed army vs the opportunity to build up with villagers is great! It is not that aspect which I question. Really funny and I like that you play with different ideas. I must say now that I know you read this that I overall think that the campaigns are great.
